PURPOSE:To prevent leakage of oil, by a method wherein an oilproof curtain, reinforced with wire ropes, is liquidtightly connected to floating bodies, the curtain is hung down from an expansible curtain rod, and this causes the curtain to follow vertical movement of the floating bodies due to waves. CONSTITUTION:A curtain rod 3 is expandably mounted between adjoining floating bodies 15, plural roller type hangers 8 are hung down movably in the direction of the axis of the curtain rod 3, and an oil fence C is mounted to the hangers 8 through rodform springs 9. The oil fence C has a flexible oilproof curtain 1 liquidtightly connected to the floating bodies 15 at its ends, and plural wire ropes 10 which are stretched on both surface of the curtain and are coupled to the floating bodies 15. This, even if the floating bodies are pitched and rolled, enables keeping of oil tightness and permits prevention of leakage of oil. |
