PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent tape running characteristic even under very humid atmosphere with less tape damage by forming a prescribed member being a component of a magnetic tape running system with a titanium oxide ceramics. CONSTITUTION:A drum 22, a tension post 15 and two tilt posts 17, 23 are formed by the titanium oxide ceramics being a sintered body using a rutile (TiO2) as a major component among components in the tape running system. That is, the components formed by the titanium oxide ceramics are used in place of the drum, the tension post or the tilt posts made of a stainless steel such as SUS 303 in conventional device. Thus, even if the winding angle of the tape onto the members is large, the friction coefficient around the members is less and both the components and the tape have very less wear.
