PURPOSE:To maintain good fuel distribution irrespective of formation of a partition wall by providing two injection ports in a fuel injection valve and directing the injection port toward respective intake path. CONSTITUTION:A fuel injection valve 23 is arranged above a partition wall 14. It is positioned such that the openings 35a, 36a will face respectively against the branch path 15 and 16 upon mounting of said valve 23. Under low load operation, a gate valve 18 is closed to feed the intake air mainly through an intake port 5. Here, the intake air is led in tangential direction with relatively obtuse angle against the combustion chamber with high speed. Under heavy load operation, the intake air is led through the branch paths 15, 16 and the intake ports 5, 6 into the combustion chamber 4. Here, the fuel is fed respectively through the openings 35a, 36a to the paths 15, 16 to form the mixture gas. |
