PURPOSE:To always control an amount of fuel increased during acceleration to an optimum value and to improve fuel consumption and acceleration performance, by providing an acceleration increase amount control means which controls an increase in an amount of fuel, fed during acceleration, in response to a value decided by an acceleration increase amount deciding means. CONSTITUTION:An air-fuel ratio detecting means A detects the air-fuel ratio of air-fuel mixture. A desired air-fuel ratio setting means C is provided, the means setting a desired air-fuel ratio, responding to an acceleration condition, when an acceleration condition is detected by an acceleration condition detecting means B. An acceleration increase amount deciding means D decides a fuel increase amount depending upon a difference between a desired air-fuel ratio, set by the desired air-fuel ratio setting means C and an actual air-fuel ratio detected by the air-fuel ratio detecting means A. An acceleration increase amount control means E controls an amount increased in an amount of fuel fed during acceleration according to the value decided by the acceleration increase amount deciding means. This causes continual control of an amount of fuel fed during acceleration to an optimum value and enables improvement of fuel consumption and acceleration performance.
