Arrangement for the control or regulation of the rotation speed and/or the torque of an induction motor (1) which is supplied by an inverter (5). The inverter is connected to a rectifier (14) connected via a transducer (20) to an alternating or three-phase supply network. The inverter (5) comprises power transistors (7-12) with which diodes (13) are mounted in parallel. The transducer (20) is provided with a control winding (21) of which the control current is adjustable. The power transistors (7-12) are connected by their control electrodes to a pulse generator (23) producing pulsed voltages of which the frequency and/or pulse duration/pulse interval ratio and/or the phase relation are optionally changeable within a pulse period.
