Independently controllable, foot-actuated left and right drumsticks are pivotably fastened to a common mounting structure. The pivoting paths of the left and right drumsticks are at a small distance from one another, so that both drumsticks can hit a small striking point of a vertically aligned drum surface. A pedal is fastened in the mounting structure for actuation of one of the drumsticks. The second drumstick is actuated by a remotely arranged outside foot pedal.
