The invention relates to a switching device for changing over a two-line central lubrication system as a function of the line pressure difference, the said device comprising a piston which is spring-loaded on both sides, to each of the cylinder spaces of which a respective feed line can be connected and the movement of which triggers an electric switching pulse for the purpose of changeover. In order to achieve greater independence from high system back pressures or frictional resistances or unfavourable temperatures as regards its functioning, the switching device is provided at each of its feed-line inlets with a respective control valve which is infinitely variable to values between 10 and 160 bar.
