In an apparatus for packing a specific number of valve elements (2) in a packaging container (18) filled with supply/metering containers (cartridges) (3), full automation of the packing process is achieved by means of a) a store (1) for the valve elements (2) with an outlet trough (4, 5) for valve elements (2) which are arranged individually one behind the other, b) a stopper (8) which is displaceable transversely to the outlet trough (4, 5) and has a counting apparatus for the valve elements (2), c) an intermediate store (13) for the valve elements (2), consisting of one or more intermediate storage troughs (14) arranged alongside one another for the joint reception of a plurality of valve elements in each case, it being possible to displace the intermediate storage troughs (14) transversely and connect them one after the other to the opening end (12) of the outlet trough (4, 5), and d) a rack (16) which is assigned jointly to the intermediate storage troughs (14) for the simultaneous displacement of all the valve elements (2) into the packaging container (18) positioned at the opening end (17) of the intermediate storage troughs (14). <IMAGE>
