The piping cord (5) sewn on the sunshade canvas (1) is used for the lateral introduction into a hollow groove (2) of a roll tube (3), of a blind, and of a border-rod tube. In the vicinity of the two ends, in each case one screw (4) is guided transversely through the piping cord (5) such that, after the introduction of the piping cord into the hollow groove (2), the screw cap (7) is accessible from the outside, while the screw tip (6) is directed towards the central region of the hollow-groove cross-section. The screw (4) can be turned in a sleeve (8) with internal thread. At the inner end, the sleeve (8) is provided, on its outer circumference, with a widened portion (9) which is supported on the piping cord (5). When the screw (4) is tightened, the piping cord is clamped into the hollow groove (2), with the result that it can no longer be displaced in the longitudinal direction. First of all one screw is tightened and, after lateral tightening of the sunshade canvas (1), the second screw is then tightened. This requires only one person and no drilling machine. <IMAGE>
