Orthodontic apparatus which adheres directly onto a tooth, and which is provided for this purpose with a rough sticking surface. The invention relates to the state of the surface intended to receive the sticking product. A first relief is engraved by blasting with alumina or corundum. This first relief may also be made by slits 2 in the metal, situated in the two lengths of the sticking surface and all communicating with each other. Some form a double angulation with the others, in order to avoid the sticking product being expelled by the separating forces alpha and beta . Spherical elements 3 are sprinkled on the blasted surface. These elements are between 40 and 100 microns in diameter and may also be sprinkled onto the surface engraved by the slits.
