In the method and device intended to provide for the security of closed rooms by preventing the undesirable opening of windows and doors, the characteristic variations of the air pressure, the infrasound events and/or the variations of the resonance behaviour of the rooms occurring upon opening the windows and the doors are measured in the low frequency range and are used to set off an alarm.
