The invention relates to a device for unlocking closed or locked motor-vehicle doors. It performs its function without a vehicle key, code card or other portable aids. The device is installed near the lock cylinder of the driver's door, its unlocking mechanism being connected mechanically to the door lock via a simple lever. Its functioning is based on the setting of a six-digit code number by means of number wheels and on the axial displacement of a switching rod by means of a so-called switching fork. The number wheels and the switching fork can be operated from outside. The device is designed for a maximum of 999,999 unlocking variations.
