PURPOSE:To improve processing capacity by cleaning the plate-shaped electrolytic cathodes onto which metal is deposited by electrolysis and vertically transporting said cathodes and pulling-out beams one by one and tilting and superposing said beams in horizontal state. CONSTITUTION:An electrolytic cathode 1 is transported leftward by a conveyor 4 by suspending the both edges of the beam 3 of said cathode onto the front surface in the direction of advance of the projection 4a of the conveyor 4. When the cathode 1 in the most front part reaches the reversal part of the conveyor 4, the beam 3 is transferred onto a receiving plate 11 integrally formed with a supporting plate 5, and the cathode 1 is inserted between a holding device 14 by turning a lever 6 upward. Then, a pusher is operated, and after the beam 3 is pulled-out from a hanger 2 in the cooperation with a pair of rollers, the cathode 1 is turned, having the lower edge as center, by retreating a supporting device 5 by a cylinder 10, and after the cathode 1 is supported by a receiving tool 8, the cathode 1 is loaded onto a table 21. |
