PURPOSE:To dry laver with moist feeling without causing cracks nor loosening in bundling, by drying the laver while humidifying the laver during drying in contact with steam formed from fine waterdrops. CONSTITUTION:Air sucked from air suction inlets 41 of a hot air producer 4 is heated to produce hot air at 34-40 deg.C, which enters the dryer body 5 at the bottom thereof, flows upward and is discharged from an air discharge outlet 51. Fine waterdrops (having about 20-50mu drop diameter) are sprayed from a fine misting device 6 consisting of a water supply pipe 61 and fine mist nozzles 62 provided near the upper corner part of a dryer 1, and vaporized by the atmospheric heat. Moist raw laver is placed in the upper part of the dryer 1, and laver before completion of drying is placed in the lower part thereof. Thus, the humidity in waste gas from the dryer 1 is kept at 50-60% to give dried laver having wet feeling and good luster though fully dried without cracking nor loosening thereof in bundling due to no generation of static electricity with additional installation of a small motor-driven sprayer. |
