<p>The invention relates to a method for repairing a pipeline, which method is characterised in that the diameter of a reinforcing plate which is formed from a sprung plate material as an incomplete or slotted cylinder having a normal or intrinsic external diameter which exceeds the internal diameter of the relevant pipeline is reduced in size to an external diameter which is less than the internal diameter of the pipeline, in that the two (slotted) longitudinal edges of the reinforcing plate are brought close to one another by means of a diameter-reducing device, the reinforcing plate is inserted into the pipeline, and the reduction in the size of the diameter is cancelled at a predetermined point (in the pipeline) in order to allow the reinforcing plate to be fixed to the inner surface of the pipeline by its intrinsic elasticity.</p> |
