A description is given of a profiled-steel tie rod (10) which is intended for vertical arrangement and exhibits an upper horizontal bore (30), for fastening to a lintel such as a window or door lintel, and a lower horizontal bore (31) for suspending an angular supporting member, its upper end being offset in the horizontal direction. In the case of said tie rod, at the upper end of the vertical profiled steel, a steel angle (20) is welded on with its horizontal leg (28), the upper bore (30) being situated in the vertical leg (29) of said steel angle. In this arrangement, the two legs (28, 29) are reinforced by a welded-on corner plate (32). <IMAGE>
