An original feeding and loading device in a microfilm camera or similar apparatus, in which the originals shaped like sheets of paper are loaded into a loading shaft as far as transport rollers which take over the further drawing-in of the originals, having different scales of reduction for imaging the originals and having stops, which are adjustably arranged at the inlet of the loading shaft, for the original widths which can be loaded for a set scale of reduction, is constructed in such a way that the stops (5a, 5b) are constructed as segments or ring sectors (5a, 5b) on a measurement roller (5) rotatably mounted at the inlet (3a) of the loading shaft (3). As a result, it is possible to provide for the original widths that are to be loaded a restriction which can be set in a simple fashion and controlled automatically. <IMAGE>
