PURPOSE:To reduce an eddy current to be generated according to a gradient coil without damaging the cooling effect of a heat shield plate by a method wherein electric insulation is provided to the heat shield plate in the axial direction of a superconductive coil. CONSTITUTION:Electric insulation is provided to a heat shield plate 16 by cutting slits 12 in the axial direction of a coil, for example. A superinsulator 18 is wound or aluminum foil 19 is wound on the slits 12 at the places cut with the slits as not to leak a radiant beam from the slits. When electric insulation is to be laid, an insulator is inserted without providing the slits, or to enhance resistance by thinning thickness of only the parts thereof is also favorable, and moreover, to cut slits by dividing in the axial direction is also favorable. Accordingly, an eddy current to be generated according to a gradient coil can be reduced without damaging the function of the heat shield plate. |
