Rescue suit

The subject of the application is a rescue suit for individuals to escape from fire and smoke. The invention has the purpose of providing a rescue suit (1) which can be handled by anybody in danger without difficulty and without any special training and which protects its wearer in an emergency against fire and smoke to enable him in the event of fire to find an escape exit in a building through the fire or the smoke. The rescue suit (1) which is of air-tight design and completely covers its wearer comprises a transparent plastic film resistant to high temperatures, especially a polyimide film, and is provided with a sealable opening (6) for climbing in and out. Furthermore, there is provided an emergency air vent (10) which may be located in the facial region. <IMAGE>
