PURPOSE:To match simply and precisely an existing dictionary memory with an additional dictionary memory by coupling a synonym group in the existing memory with that in the additional memory as one synonym group. CONSTITUTION:Various keys 13-17, a display device 18, a printer 21, a reference dictionary ROM24, a working RAM25, and a data conversion memory 27 are connected to a CPU23. The ROM26 can be added and expanded to the CPU23 to be connected to a ROM pack charging port and the synonym group of the ROM26 is coupled with that of the ROM24 as one synonym group.
