In order to help to reduce the susceptibility to trouble without a large amount of outlay on control elements and accessories and also permit several successive control operations, the control device comprises two differential pistons (18, 18'), a main spool (5) displaceably mounted between the differential pistons, and control spools (10, 11) between which the differential pistons lie. The main spool (5) and the differential pistons conveniently run in a guide bore (6), and the control spools (10, 11) run in chambers (9, 9') of the valve block (3) in such a way as to be displaceable in the transverse direction to the differential pistons. <IMAGE>
