The multi-functional furniture unit consists of an upper body (CS) and a lower body (CI) fixed together in the assembled position, the upper body (CS) being provided with two fold-down leaves (AN<2>-AN<3>), one defining a space for an ironing board and the other a space for a table for a sewing machine, the lower body comprising a lower unit (SM) movable on wheels, whose purpose is to support said two leaves (AN<2>-AN<3>) when folded down in the horizontal position and stabilise the ironing board or sewing machine table. <IMAGE>
