The inventive proposal relates to a fluidised-bed furnace of small to medium size which, to improve the fuel combustion and SO2 binding, is equipped with one or more separator cyclones for ash and lime dust or dolomite dust. The recycling of ash and lime dust or dolomite dust into the fluidised bed is carried out via these separator cyclones. The ash separator cyclones, to achieve a space-saving construction, are either integrated in the upper part of the combustion chamber or are arranged in a rotationally symmetric manner outside on the combustion chamber casing. To increase the purity of the flame, the separator cyclones can also be connected on the furnace gas side in a two- or three-stage manner one after the other. For the combustion of high heating value fuels, the combustion chamber casing is advantageously formed from double tubes welded together which can be particularly easily cleaned. Since the novel fluidised-bed furnace delivers a particularly clean flame gas, it can also advantageously be connected upstream of flame tube boilers and water tube boilers. The novel fluidised-bed furnace, in a special design, can also be operated with furnace-gas-side supercharging and be assigned to a gas turbine. <IMAGE>
