<p>PURPOSE:To prevent concentration of heavy metals in a system and to prevent discharge of heavy metals to the outside of the system by providing an apparatus for removing heavy metals to the midway of a feeding passage of cooling water from a gas cooling absorption tower to a gas cooling tower. CONSTITUTION:Waste combustion gas 3 from a trash incinerator 1 is cooled in a water ejection type gas cooling tower 2, and a part of Hg in the waste gas is collected in an electric dust collector 4, and harmful gas and heavy metals contained in the waste gas are collected in the gas cooling absorption tower 5. The waste gas discharged from the gas cooling absorption tower 5 is liberated into atmospheric air from a stack 11 through a dehumidification tower 7 and a reheater 10. Heavy metals such as Hg in the waste liquid 13 are removed by a heavy metal removing device 12 provided to a passage for feeding the waste liquid 13 discharged from the gas cooling absorption tower 5 to the gas cooling tower 2 as a portion of the cooling water, and the purified liquid is fed to the gas cooling tower 2.</p> |
