In the headrest of a vehicle seat two bearing spars (20, 22) which can be attached to the seat back are connected to a frame bearing a support cushion (48) and having two side parts (44, 46) rigidly connected to one another, which frame is connected in articulated fashion to the bearing spars (20, 22) and adjustable transversely with respect to the bearing spars (20, 22). According to the invention, in order to achieve a largely parallel adjustment of the frame in the support direction (28) virtually without height adjustment, in each case two hinge elements (32, 34) are coupled to each side part (44, 46), said hinge elements being coupled themselves to the spars (20, 22) or to a carrier (26) connected rigidly to the said spars. <IMAGE> |
