PURPOSE:Radiation is transmitted through a copying original and absrobed in an accelerated phosphorescence fluorescent material containing an Eu<2+>-doped composite halide fluorescent material, the fluorescent material is excited with a specific electromagnetic radiation, and the radiation energy released as fluorescent light is detected. CONSTITUTION:Radiation passed through a copying original is absorbed in an accelerated phosphorescence fluorescent material containing an Eu<2+>-doped composite halide fluorescent material of formula (X is Cl, Br or I; 1<=a<1.1; 0<x<= 10<-1>; 0<y<=2X10<-1>). The fluorescent material is excited by electromagnetic radiation of 450-600nm wavelength, and the accumulated radiation energy released as a fluorescent light is detected.
