In ostomy gear with a) circular holding ring with a flange joined by a band to an opening through which an intestinal lock can be introduced, transverse ostomy, from which flange there protrudes a profiled piece to secure another profiled ring connected to an ostomy bag, and b) an ostomy rod designed to be placed underneath the intestinal lock to keep it outside the abdominal wall, the ends of the ostomy rod are bevelled or cut slanted to form slanting surfaces 24 which co-operate with a conical surface 40 on the radially inward side of the profiled projecting part of the holding ring. Advisedly, the conical surface is part of a cone surface with a vertex angle of around 60 degrees, while the slanting surfaces are preferably flat and make an angle with the band, when the rod is thrusting against it, of roughly 120 degrees. One achieves an easier placement of the rod in relation to the holding ring than in the known ostomy gear of similar kind, especially in that one does not need to turn and/or shift the ostomy rod and holding ring in relation to each other after being placed in a plane parallel with the flange, since their mutual angular position is inconsequential, and minor inaccuracies in the positioning of the rod in relation to its own lengthwise direction are adjusted by sliding along the conical surface. <IMAGE>
