PURPOSE:To enable the device in the headline to be simplified and improved in its rotation accuracy by providing a bearing construction which can support both a thrust load and a radial load. CONSTITUTION:Pneumatic bearings 2, 2a, 2b forming two bearing guide faces 21, 22 supporting both a thrust load and a radial load on a table 1 are arranged a long the external circumference of the disk type table 1 at equally separated angular positions and air pockets 24 connected to both bearing guide faces 21, 22 are formed in these pneumatic bearings 2, 2a, 2b. And one each orifice 25 connected to a pressure air source is opened to each of these air pockets 24. Thus, the number of bearings of the rotary table is decreased and the table device is simplified and its rotation accuracy is improved by providing a bearing construction which can support both the thrust load and radial load. |
