PURPOSE:To enlarge the variable range of a roll profile and to perform accurately the shape control of a rolling mill by making it possible to impose bending on a roll either within a bending beam or through the bending beam. CONSTITUTION:In a rolling mill whose roll 2 is made shiftable in its axial direction, bending beams 4 are installed parallelly and movably in the axial direction of roll 2 at the positions near the front and rear faces of roll 2. And bending cylinders 7 are respectively installed between the flange parts of respective bending beams 4 and the inside and outside roll chocks 5, 6 of roll 2, and bending cylinders 8 are also installed at the outsides of the flange parts of respective bending beams 4 in contact with the flanges. |
