PURPOSE:To extract the natural beauty from a block due to its gloss and prevent the block from corrosion and wearing, by carbonizing a surface by frictional heat of a cutting grinding wheel and a surface grinding wheel and generating a oozing resinous ingredient in wood, when the natural wood block is cut and molded. CONSTITUTION:In the method of cutting and molding a wooden block for paving a road surface and a floor surface, frictional heat is generated by using a grinding wheel 2 of grain size corresponding to the quality of wood to be rotated in a high speed further applying to the grinding wheel 2 a resisting pressure corresponding to the quality of wood 3, and if this frictional heat both carbonizes a surface while scorching it and generates a oozing resinous ingredient contained in the wood 3, the cut surface being hardened by carbonization of the scorching and the resinous ingredient of the wood, provides a smoothly wax colored glossy surface. Here in the method, the wood 3 is fixed to a fixed position, and cutting of the wood and generation of the frictional heat are promoted by lowering the grinding wheel 2 running at a high speed and applying an optical pressure of lowering the wheel 2. Sometimes in the method, the cutting of the wood and the generation of the frictional heat in a large amount may be also promoted by advancing the wood 3 to be fed while vertically moving the grinding wheel 2. |
