NOZZLE FOR STEEL MAKING

PURPOSE:To provide the titled nozzle to reduce solidification by cooling of a molten steel into the inner hole and a nozzle clog due to adhesion of non-ferrous intermediaries by forming a refractory layer having a bad wetting with a molten steel on the surface of the inner hole of a nozzle for steel making which is anti- corrosive and refractory materials and the outer layer which is made of heat insulating materials. CONSTITUTION:An outer layer 13 is a fibre formed body of Al3-SiO2 series having an extremely low thermal conductivity. An intermediate layer 12 is a refractory substance of high aluminum quality of Al2O3 80% having high corrosion resistance and mechanical intensity. An inner formed layer 11 of the inner hole is a refractory material of Al2O3-C quality including 30% natural graphite having bad wetness with a molten steel. These three bodies are assembled via mortar, etc. of high alumina quality. This inner layer 11 prevents cool solidification of a molten steel and adhesion of non-ferrous intermediaries which are the main cause for a nozzle hole's clog and reduces the cloggings of a nozzle.
