PURPOSE:To enable to effectively prevent wrinkling or ground contamination from occurring, by applying an electrostatic force between an ink transfer material and a recording material to thereby bring the materials into close contact with each other in a contactless manner. CONSTITUTION:While feeding a sheet form ink transfer material 1 and the recording material 2 in a sub-scanning direction, laser light LB optically modulated by recording data is emitted from a laser device 3 and is deflected, thereby conducting thermal transfer recording. At a recording part are provided a charger 5 for bringing the materials 1, 2 into close contact with each other and pressing them against a counter electrode 4 by electrostatic forces, and a destaticizer 6 for electrically separating the materials 1, 2 from each other. The charger 5 comprises a few wire electrodes 51 extended in a main scanning direction, on which a negative voltage V1 is impressed to generate corona ions of negative polarity is provided on the side of a base 11 of the transfer material 1 while positive polarity is provided on the side of the counter electrode 4, and the terminals 1, 2 are attracted to the electrode 4 side in close contact with each other. Accordingly, thermal transfer by laser light can be efficiently performed. |
