<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the entire supervisory time of a relay transmission line being an object of supervision by detecting the presence of an error at a terminal station repeater at the sending end and a terminal station repeater at the receiving end normally and detecting the presence of error in each repeater only when an error is detected at the terminal station repeater at the receiving end. CONSTITUTION:Supervisory panels B1-Bn input a PCM signal branched from output terminals of terminal station repeaters 2a, 2b and repeaters A1-An and apply error detection and error rate count. A central supervisory device 4 calls normally the supervisory panel B1 to receiver error information of the terminal station repeater 2a of the sending end, then calls the supervisory panel Bn next, collects the error information of the terminal station repeater 2b of the receiving end and repeats the supervision above. If the terminal station repeater 2a detects an error, it means that a fault takes place in the terminal station device 1a, and if the termination repeater 2b detects an error, it means that a fault takes place in the repeaters A1-An have a fault. In the latter case, the supervisory panels B2-Bn-1 are called sequentially to collect sequentially the error information of the repeaters A1-An, and after all the error information is collected, the fault is located.</p> |
