PURPOSE:To enable to print uniformly, by a method wherein the rotating speed of a motor and the width of a pulse impressed on a printing head are controlled in accordance with the environmental temperature and a power source voltage. CONSTITUTION:A controlling means 4 is operated in accordance with a signal from a head position detecting means 3, and the printing head 1a is moved to a normal position and then in a printing direction by driving the motor 1b. Rotating the motor 1b operates a tachometer generator 1d, so that a timing signal generating means 2 generates a timing signal, and according to the timing signal, the controlling means 4 outputs a printing pulse to the head 1a, thereby printing on a thermal recording paper. The means 4 controls the rotating speed of the motor 1b in accordance with the environmental temperature detected by a temperature-detecting means 6 and a signal from a power source voltage detecting means 5. Simultaneously, the means 4 controls the width of the printing pulse in accordance with the signals from the detecting means 5, 6. Accordingly, printing speed at normal temperature and high temperatures can be enhanced, energy consumption at low temperatures can be reduced, and printing can be conducted more uniformly. |
