PURPOSE:To eliminate the erroneous operation when the height of type character is varied manually by automatically altering the height of the type character by type data in cooperation with a computer in the control of a recorder. CONSTITUTION:A controller 21 of an ink jet recorder is cooperated with a computer 20, a character generator corresponding to print data is sequentially written in an advance register 34, and converted into a serial signal in the sequence by a parallel/serial converter 35. The step signal of the size proportional to the height data of the print character from the computer 20 is gated by the serial signal through a stepwise RAM36, applied through a D/A converter 44, a video amp. 45 and a charge electrode 8 to ink particles on the basis of the serial signal to print a dot matrix character of the prescribed height. |
