SURFACE ACOUSTIC WAVE SPLITTER

PURPOSE:To allow an SAW generator to produce plural surface acoustic waves (SAW) by providing an SAW reflecting means reflecting the SAW to a part of an SAW propagating path of a medium on which the surface acoustic wave SAW is propagated. CONSTITUTION:The SAW generator 11 formed by metallic vapor-deposition where many plural electrodes are connected alternately is provide with an acoustooptic substrate 10 made of an LiNbO3 crystal. A high frequency signal is impressed to the SAW generator 11 from a high frequency signal generator 13. An SAW reflecting slot 12 reflecting the SAW is provided on the surface of a part of the substrate 10 on the propagation path of the SAW1 generated from the SAW generator 11 with an angle theta1. A part of the SAW1 is reflected on the reflecting slot 12, branched as the SAW2 and the other part goes straight and becomes the SAW3.
