PURPOSE:To enable the estimation of water leaking position without access to a vessel by measuring changes in the electric resistance value between a plurality of electrode arranged for detecting wetting on the bottom surface thereof to estimate the position of possible water leak. CONSTITUTION:For example, a plurality of electrodes 19-29 are arranged on the bottom surface 9 of a containment vessel 10 while a resistance measuring device 32 is provided to measure electric resistance value between the electrodes 19-26. Electric resistance values between the electrodes 19-26 are measured repeatedly in sequence through a scanner 31 to detect a drop in the resistance value due to wetting by water leak. This enables the estimation of the position of water leak without requiring a personnel to get access to the vessel 10 thereby contributing to the prevention of an inspector from exposure to radiation, a higher operating rate by early discovery of water leak and the like. |
