PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of distance measurement by a construction wherein gear fixed together with TV camera fitting boards provided in the ends of two arms having joints respectively are made to operate for flexible motions of two cameras while an interval between the cameras is detected with the rotations thereof curbed by belts. CONSTITUTION:A power obtained from a motor 2 is transmitted to gears 3, 10 and 8, and it is transmitted further from the gear 3 to a gear 4a and a rod 6a for rotating same, while it is transmitted also to a rod 6b on the reverse side for rotating a gear 4b reversely. As for a first joint 13a, the power is transmitted from the gear 8 to a gear 9 making the first joint operate freely, so as to rotate it reversely together with the gear 4a, and is further transmitted to a rod 14a through the first joint 13a by a belt 12a, so as to rotate this rod, while a second joint 13b operates to make a rod 14b operate by a belt 12b. Thereby an interval between two TV cameras 22a and 22b is varied flexibly without the rotation thereof. With said interval varied, by this constitution, the distance to an object can be measured with excellent accuracy.
