PURPOSE:To reduce internal resistance while improving contact between a positive pole can and a reinforcing ring by using the reinforcing ring having an R- curved surface corrresponding to the R-curved surface of the angular part of the bottom face and the peripheral face of the positive pole can for housing a positive pole active material. CONSTITUTION:When housing a positive pole active material 2 mainly composed of manganese dioxide or the like inside a positive pole can 1 while mounting a reinforcing ring 7 on its peripheral part, the reinforcing ring 7 is so formed as to have the peripheral surface part 7a close to the peripheral surface and the bottom surface of the positive pole active material 2 and the bottom surface part 7b while making the sectional surface into an L-shape approximately and its angular part 7c into an R-curved surface which is equal to the R-curved surface of the angular part 1a of the positive pole can 1. Then, said reinforcing ring 7 is combined with a separator 3, a negative pole active material 4 and a negative pole terminal plate 5 for forming a flat type enclosed system battery. Accordingly, the outer surface of the reinforcing ring 7 and the inner surface of the positive pole can 1 are closed with no gap thus improving their contact and sharply reducing internal resistance inside the battery. |
