PURPOSE:To improve the working efficiency, etc. by using an outflow-preventive plate to perform vacuum sealing in a furnace making combination use of vacuum degassing and bubbling. CONSTITUTION:An O-ring consisting of a material such as silicone rubber or the like is adhered to the peripheral edge part 14 of a brick 9 for a mouth cap. An outflow-preventive plate 12 for a molten metal is provided in order to prevent the overflow and outflow of the molten metal in the stage of controlling vacuum suction and ladling out of the molten metal. The corrosion of the steel plates in the outside cylindrical part and bottom part owing to solidification and lamination of the molten metal is prevented by the above-mentioned method, by which the improvement of the O-ring and working efficiency is attained. |
