Electronic switch for telecommunications network - uses trimos thyristor with protection, opening switch for overvoltage or overcurrent conditions

The electronic switch uses a Trimos (MOS TRIAC) thyristor with current and voltage protection. Voltage protection comprises diodes and transistors. The thyristor is opened when the terminal voltage between two terminals exceeds a threshold. - A resistor monitors load current and switches the thyristor via transistors. With the switch closed, current protection is in control with voltage control preventing recycling. Pref. an auxiliary protection circuit comprising a pulse detector is provided.(0/5)
