PURPOSE:To set a speed-change initial hydraulic pressure for various engines in an automatic transmission having a feedback control function so as to feed a proper hydraulic pressure to a frictional engaging element during changing of speed. CONSTITUTION:In changing from a first speed to a second speed for example, setting of a speed-change initial hydraulic pressure P1 to be fed to a kickdown brake 30 after generation of a speed-change starting signal and feedback control of the hydraulic pressure to the kickdown brake 30 are carried out according to a flow chart provided in an electronic control device 112. That is to say, when the speed-change starting signal is generated by the electronic control device to select a solenoid valve, an initial duty ratio of the solenoid valve is determined to control the speed-change initial hydaulic pressure P1. |
