<p>The cooling arrangement for a room uses gasification or vaporisation process of a first substance in a first vessel is held in a room and the gas or vapour formed is directed into a second vessel (2) outside the room. The second vessel contains a second substance which absorbs gas or vapour. The cooling process is based on the fact that substances absorb gases or vapours chemically by bonding of the water of crystallisation. Thermal energy is released in this absorption process. A marked cooling effect is achieved and the substances used are readily regenerated. As a second substance is used one which forms a porous and rigid bodies in the vessel after heating or regeneration in vacuum. This second substance can be sodium sulphide. Second substance is held in vessel as a powder and it is regenerated to become rigid and porous body. Solar energy can be used as heat source for regenerating the second substance.</p> |
