PURPOSE:To allow stable travel of a travel car over a step or a dam without slanting the car body by making each of legs of the travel car in a unit construction to avoid complication of the mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A travel car 1 includes a car body 2, a travel control device 3 and a driving power supply 4 both incorporated in the car body 2, and six legs 5 mounted to the lower portion of the car body 2. Each leg 5 has at the lower end thereof a travelling drive wheel 6 and a steering member 7 for steering the wheel 6 and includes therein a vertically expansible expansion led 8, and a transverse moving mechanism 9 is provided to transversely move at the lower portion of the car body the whole leg 5 including all these members. Expansion and transverse movement of each leg 5 of this construction can be properly controlled to allow free travel over a step or a dam in a stable travelling condition without slanting. |
