PURPOSE:To suppress knocking and to perform an efficient ignition control by judging a cylinder in which knocking has occurred by means of an ignited cylinder discriminator and by performing a spark delay control selectively for only that cylinder. CONSTITUTION:An ignited cylinder discriminator 20 made with a memory element and logic gate, etc., switching circuits 71, 72, and ignition coils 80, 80 with two secondary output terminals are provided on an ignition time control device. When knocking occurs, a pulse signal generated in a knocking judgment circuit 3, the output signal (d) of an ignition signal generator 5, and the output signal (e) of a phase shifter 6 are input into the ignited cylinder discriminator 20, which judges a cylinder in which knocking has occurred and applied a spark delay controlled signal (e) to the ignition coil 80 of that cylinder through the switching circuit 71 but applies a signal (d) to the ignition coil 80 of other cylinders through the switching circuit 72. |
