PURPOSE:To prevent shape collapse and deflection and mold a food into a given shape, by sucking the outer periphery of a material from the peripheral surface of a material molding channel of given shape. CONSTITUTION:An apparatus 10 for molding a food by feeding a material into a molding channel 11 thereof, adjusting the temperature in a cooling (heating) chamber 15, applying a negative pressure to the respective suction holes 13 in a suction part 12, attracting the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical material to the peripheral surface of the molding channel 11 to mold the material into a given shape. The cross-sectional shape of the molding channel 11 in the flow direction can be in an optional form in addition to the circular form, and molding by suction is carried out in the front and rear molding parts of the molding channel 11. The resultant molded material of the given shape is then fed to a conveying device 20. |
