<p>PURPOSE:To improve quality and the efficiency in heat treatment work by using the same heating coil which is so arranged as to differ in the amt. of a material for intensifying heating in the heating stage for the purpose of hardening and in the heating stage for the purpose of tempering, in hardening and tempering of a material to be heated. CONSTITUTION:A heating coil 2' is similar to the coil in the prior art and cores 31'-35' similar to the cores in the prior art are stuck to the coil 2' in the form similar to the form in the prior art. A core 36 is formed to the U sectional shape similar to the cores 31'-34' and is mounted with a supporting part 361 to the forward end part of an air cylinder 4 disposed in a proper place on the side of a square pipe 21'. The cylinder 4 is not operated in the case of hardening a material 1 to be heated with the coil 2' and the cylinder is operated in the case of tempering said material. Therefore, a rod 41 and the core 36 are in the position of solid lines and the core 36 is held removed from the pipe 21', in the former. The rod 41 and the core 36 are in the position of alternate long and two short dashes lines and the core 36 is added to the pipe 21' in the latter.</p> |
