USE:A tackifier for addition-reaction type of silicone rubber: it can give good adhesion by low-temperature heating and the adhesion is satisfactorily sustained even when exposed to high temperature and high humidity conditions or hot water. PREPARATION:For example, the reaction between a compound of formula IIIand another compound of formula IV is carried out, preferably in the absence of a solvent, using a catalyst such as chloroplatinic acid and the resultant intermediate is allowed to react with cyclotetrasiloxane.
