PURPOSE:To permit word processing and color printing with a single unit of device by using a multicolor developing vat for a developing vat of a developing unit and by allowing an input means to select the colors to be developed. CONSTITUTION:A developing unit is provided with three developing vats 9a-9c and the unit can revolve clockwise. The developing vat 9a is consisting of a developer cartridge 90a and a developer supplying portion 91a, and the developer can be supplied by a magnet roller 32 to a photosensitive body drum 7. A developing vat cover 37 is provided with a photosensor 38 of reflective type and the developing unit proper 31 is provided with reflective mirrors 39, 40 and 41 at three places. Due to the constitution which the developing unit 9 has, by means of a position detection means for the photosensor 38 and the reflective mirrors 39-41 and by rotating the developing unit proper 31, the developing colors can easily be selected. |
