发明名称 MANUFACTURE OF MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a lot of high-density magnetic recording media without increase of dropout due to repetitive uses by directing a vapor flow made of a ferromagnetic material to a high polymer substrate at the vapor deposition side of which plural lubricant coating parts are provided. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical can 5, an evaporation source tank 6, a vapor deposition material 7, a vapor flow 8, a mask 9, a slit 10 of opening hole of the mask, a lubricant coating nozzle 11 and a supply shaft 13 are used while being arranged in a vacuum tank (not shown). A lubricant is applied from the lubricant nozzle 11 provided at a prescribed interval to the substrate 12 made of the high polymer film. The substrate 12 moving in its state encounters the vapor flow 8 at the slit 10 and vapor-deposited and a ferromagnetic thin film layer is formed. The applied lubricant is evaporated in this case. The coating part with a width (d) exists on the substrate 15 and since this part is evaporated when the ferromagnetic thin film 16 is formed, the ferromagnetic thin film 16 is formed to the part. An auxiliary layer 17 is formed to the end of the ferromagnetic thin film and this plays a role of the improvement of the durability of the magnetic recording medium obtained in this way.
